Many of us would like to get the money out of politics, especially those of us who don't have enough money to buy influence. I'm sure you know that getting money out of politics is a Sisyphean task. Like the Ancient Greek who endlessly tried to roll a gigantic rock up the hill, we ordinary citizens face a daunting task in trying to change the status quo. There are organizations formed with the aim of over-turning the Citizen's United Ruling. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tag/overturn-citizens-united/ But, until that goal is ever achieved, what can the ordinary citizen do to know who is funding the candidates?
Enter OpenSecrets.org. https://www.opensecrets.org/ This is a group with a mission to inform. You can read more about the organization here: https://www.opensecrets.org/about/
