Views on Poverty

Democrat and Republican viewpoints on poverty, causes, cures, and people experiencing it could not be further apart. Remember Mitt Romney's infamous words describing the 47% who are "Victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to take care for them." He said out loud what many GOP believe. Now they are having a war on poverty to fix poverty. The plan: Block grants. Yes. Give the money to the Governors and let them decide who gets what. I'm not making this up!

What do Democrats want to do? The plan is laid out in black and white at the Whitehouse.gov website:

If you think these ideas are worth investing in with your tax dollars, then why not contact your representatives in Congress and let them know how you want them to spend your money? Senate.gov House.gov They make it easy to find them and contact them.
